BEST DAY EVER

Turning nature into art. Nature, reimagined.

Nature gives me so much inspiration.

Some of my ideas begin with a simple walk — wandering around Walden Pond, through Minute Man National Historical Park, or along a seashore with the ocean stretching out in front of me. I take in the colors, textures, shapes, light, changing seasons, and all the little treasures that nature leaves behind.

There are days when I simply can't walk by something without seeing its potential.

What someone else might call a little piece of dirt, a stick, a dried-up leaf, an oddly shaped stone, or a shell might stop me in my tracks.

I don't necessarily see what it is. I look at it and think:

“What can I do with it?”

That is where the fun begins.

I see possibilities everywhere.

When I walk around Walden Pond, I often think about Henry David Thoreau and understand why he was able to create so many wonderful pieces simply by immersing himself in nature. There is something magical about being surrounded by trees, water, wildlife, changing seasons, and all the beautiful details of the natural world. It gives your mind room to wander, dream, notice, and create.

I often think about how much inspiration can come from simply being present in nature.

That inspiration became Best Day Ever.

Some pieces are meant to make you stop and look twice. Some might make you wonder what on earth I was thinking. And then, hopefully, you discover what I was trying to accomplish with the humor — that little moment when the idea clicks and you can't help but smile.

I love taking something ordinary and giving it a completely different life. I love mixing natural elements with color, texture, creativity, and a touch of glamour.

Most of all, I love the moment when something comes together and I think:

“Now that's so cool.”

Because sometimes the best ideas are hiding in the things we almost walked past.

That is a Best Day Ever — Uniquely Yours.
